I was asked to create a logo and corporate identity for a guesthouse. We (Tim Doyle; a copywriter/digital strategist and I) decided the guesthouse would have an overarching brand that housed 7 individual accommodation options, beginning with the one that was ready for the public.
We decided on the name ‘Cape Hidden Gem Accommodation’ because of location as well as individuality and SEO purposes. This also made the rest of the names of the individual houses/rooms have legs, with naming them after local gems.
The logo, treatment of photography and iconography all utilise geometric shapes of a gem’s facets. This design comes through strongly and holds the brand together.
